Strength- The Core Principle

man does no strength train
Got Strength?

So what are you training goals? specifically…?

Whether you are trying to lose bodyfat, or build a body like a brickhouse, you won’t be getting anywhere fast- without a strength centric workout.

Duhh It’s Strength Training

Well, even though it may seem straightforward, that is not always the case. I mean it is a logical concern to wonder how strength training contributes to you achieving your goals.

Won’t cardio alone do the same thing?

Nope. Strength training is done to optimize the efficiency of the metabolic pathway you choose to walk.

For instance, if you decide to lose bodyfat first, including strength training will ensure that you do not experience a significant degree of muscle mass, which would only impair your metabolic rate.

See where I’m going with this?

In like manner, strength training will induce a degree of hypertrophy to muscle cells, regardless of how minor it might seem. Hypertrophy is an adaptation that ensures your body is capable of handling subsequent stress the muscles will endure, and will also help improve mitochondrial energy production.

You must prioritize getting stronger above all else.

Light weights will only get you so far, whereas true strength will support your athletic endeavors wherever they take you.
